Michelle T. Charley, M.A., CCC-SLP


Michelle has over 18 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.  She has worked with children and young adults in the schools and in private practice.  Michelle's areas of experience and expertise include  articulation and phonology, receptive and expressive language, language  and auditory processing,  social language, Autism Spectrum Disorders, fluency, and mild voice disorders.  Michelle graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's Degree in Hearing and Speech Science and from The Ohio State University with a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.   She has explored Continuing Education opportunities in many areas, including PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and implementing technology into therapy.   Michelle is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Illinois and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.


Michelle grew up in Ohio, but has been in the Chicago area for 14 years.  She now lives in Park Ridge with her husband Mike and their LOT (Liam, Owen, Tatum). 


Since high school, Michelle has been interested in communication and helping to maximize how a child can communicate with the world.  She believes everyone should have the chance to express themselves in their best possible ways.   She works with parents, teachers, caregivers to help children reach their goals.  Children have "a lot to say" and we want to hear it!
